Welcome to the Auburn University Psychological Services Center (AUPSC). AUPSC is a training clinic that provides therapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, adults, and families in the Auburn-Opelika area. The mission of AUPSC is to provide quality mental health services to the community, train future professionals, and further knowledge through research.
In addition to psychological assessments and therapy, the AUPSC offers services through several specialty clinics, including evaluations for autism spectrum disorder, applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents through the Center for Autism Research, Treatment and Training (CARTT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group, and treatment for eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns through the Auburn Eating Disorder Clinic (AEDC).
Services at our clinic are open to anyone. You do not need to be affiliated with Auburn University to seek services. We welcome clients of all ages, nationalities, gender identities, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and ability/disability.
We are committed to providing care that is responsive to clients from diverse backgrounds. All of our clinicians and faculty are required to complete a cultural competency training, and many have participated in additional training on LGBTQ+ concerns. While we may not have the same lived experiences as our clients, it is our intention to create a safe environment for individuals with a variety of intersecting identities. See our Diversity tab for more information about our commitment to cultural humility.
